How are fine lines removed?
The treatment is a simple non-surgical procedure that smooths the deep lines between the eyes (frown lines), forehead lines and crows feet. The treatment is used to prevent the formation of wrinkles, while softening your existing lines and maintaining your natural expression.

Unlike surgery, the treatment is fast, simple minimally invasive, with no down time or recovery. Most people return directly to work or their normal activity following treatment. Within days they report looking more natural and relaxed.

How does it work?
The treatment is injected directly into the muscles of the affected area, leaving surrounding muscles to function as usual enabling normal facial expression just with less wrinkles.

What is the treatment procedure?
The procedure takes only a few minutes and no anaesthetic required. An injection is made with a fine needle into specific muscles with only minor discomfort. It generally takes three to seven days to take full effect and it is best to avoid alcohol at least one week prior to treatment. Aspirin and anti-inflammatory medications should be stopped two weeks before treatment as well in order to reduce bruising.

How quickly does the treatment work?
The treatment normally starts to work 24 to 72 hours after having the injections, with the maximum effect seen one to three weeks later. The aim of the treatment is not to prevent the muscles moving altogether, but to reduce the number of times they contract (which is what causes wrinkles). So it's not unusual to find that, if you try really hard, you can still move the muscles in the treated area slightly.

How long does the treatment last?
The effects will last four to six months. As muscle action gradually returns, the lines and wrinkles begin to re-appear and wrinkles need to be re-treated. The lines and wrinkles often appear less severe with time because the muscles are being trained to relax.
